Spring: time to upgrade your basics
The days are getting longer and the sun is showing its face more often. You cycle with your jacket open, feel the gentle breeze through your hair and you know: spring is coming! Heavier fabrics make way for lighter basics. And that not only means a fresh feeling but also more freedom of movement – and it all starts with your first layer. Because no matter how good your outfit looks, if your base chafes, pinches or is too warm, you'll feel it all day long.
Boxers, trunks and briefs that simply do what they need to do
In spring, you don't want thick fabrics or boxers that ride up while you're moving. You want underwear that fits well, is comfortable and stays in place all day – underwear that does what it needs to do. A good boxer short, trunk or brief forms the base of every outfit.
The fabric should feel light, breathe when it gets warmer, and move smoothly and stay fresh throughout the day. For example, when you're cycling to work in the morning and have meetings all morning at the office. But also if you go for a walk with colleagues during your lunch break and then relax on a terrace after work: that first layer simply has to be right all day long. No irritation, no sweaty fabric, no seams that you suddenly feel. Just a nice, fresh base you can rely on.

Spring weather calls for layers of smart basics
March stirs its tail, and even in April, the weather still does as it pleases. It can still be chilly in the morning, while in the afternoon it sometimes feels almost summery. Then you want to be able to switch comfortably – and in style. A layer on, a layer off. Without the base underneath working against you. A light T-shirt under an overshirt or a tank top under a hoodie gives you exactly the flexibility you need in the run-up to the most cheerful season.
Is it getting warmer? Then you take off that extra layer and immediately feel a lot more comfortable. No heavy fabric, no clammy moments as soon as the sun comes out. Moreover, you still look perfectly neat with a basic Tee from Bamboo Basics – not entirely unimportant, right? It's precisely in this season that you notice how nice breathable materials are. You're more often outside and usually much more active. Then you want basics that can keep up with your pace.

Summer sneakers on? Good socks are a must
As soon as the sun starts to show itself more often and sneakers are increasingly worn, you notice it immediately: your feet also want lighter layers. Winter shoes stay in the closet and you're outside more than in. Winter socks make way for thin, breathable versions that remain comfortable.
Good socks ensure that you don't waste your time halfway through the day with sagging socks or pinching edges. They stay in place, fit well and feel light in your shoes. Whether you're going mountain biking, heading into town with friends or spontaneously attending a festival: fresh feet make all the difference.

Fresh into spring - start with your basics
Whether you have a hectic workday ahead, are heading into the woods for a few hours, or are spending a day out with your family: if your base layer is right, you can fully focus on what you're doing.
That's precisely the power of such a good first layer. You don't consciously notice it, but you do benefit from it. No distractions, no small irritations that pile up, no moments when you suddenly "feel" your outfit. Just a solid base that does its job all day long.
And that creates space. Space to move, to make plans, to spontaneously stay outside longer than you originally intended. Spring is about energy, freedom, longer days. Then you want what you wear under your clothes to effortlessly go along with that.
So make it easy for yourself. Choose basics that do what they need to do, go out and enjoy the spring season!
