Yes! We are officially B Corp™!

At Bamboo Basics, we believe that entrepreneurship is not just about profit, but also about impact. That's precisely why we started the B Corp certification process over a year ago.

During this process, we critically reviewed and further professionalized our working methods, choices, and processes – always with social and sustainable impact as our starting point.

For us, B Corp is not just a certification, but a conviction and a promise: it is an affirmation that we take our responsibility to contribute positively to people, the environment, and society.

We believe that true progress is not about perfection, but about improving every step and making conscious choices for the future.

We are incredibly proud to now belong to the same B Corp family as Rituals, Mud Jeans, Tony’s Chocolonely, Auping, Patagonia, and Ben & Jerry’s. Together, we are working towards a more beautiful, fairer world.

What is B Corp?

B Corp (short for Benefit Corporation) is an international certification for companies that aim not only to make a profit but also to do good for people, the environment, and society. A B Corp company uses its business as a force for good.

What makes B Corp special is that it doesn't just look at what you do, but primarily at how you do it. It is an internationally recognized framework that challenges companies to take responsibility, be transparent, and continuously improve. This way of working aligns perfectly with how we see our role: contributing to positive impact, without compromising quality and entrepreneurship.

Through B Corp certification, a company demonstrates that social impact, sustainability, and ethical business are not separate from business success, but rather go hand in hand with it. It is a concrete way to measure, manage, and communicate that your company truly wants to make a difference.

A personal message from our CEO

As CEO of HVEG Brands Group, I am incredibly proud to share that our brands Bamboo Basics, Brams Workwear, and Maison de Paris, part of HVEG Brands Group, have officially achieved B Corp certification. This is a special moment and a significant milestone for our organization. This certification demonstrates that our brands have been assessed for social and environmental impact, transparency, and responsible entrepreneurship according to international standards.

At HVEG Brands Group, we believe that entrepreneurship is more than achieving economic results. Entrepreneurship offers the opportunity to truly make a difference – for people, for the planet, and for future generations. That is why we started the intensive B Corp journey in 2024. We can now proudly say that three of our brands have achieved this certification.

What makes B Corp special is that it doesn't just look at what you do, but especially at how you do it. It is an internationally recognized framework that challenges companies to take responsibility, be transparent, and continuously improve. This way of working aligns precisely with how we see our role: contributing to positive impact, without compromising on quality and entrepreneurship. Therefore, our B Corp certification does not feel like an endpoint, but rather the beginning of a continuous journey of improvement. We will continue to set goals, measure our progress, and communicate openly about the steps we are taking – including the challenges that still lie ahead.

We believe in ‘purpose meets profit,’ meaning that social impact can go hand in hand with a healthy business model. In this way, we want to show that we want to do better as a company and fulfill that promise. In our opinion, this is the new way of doing business!

I am proud that we are part of a network of brands and organizations that share the same conviction, together with companies that demonstrate that commercial success and social responsibility can reinforce each other. Step by step, we continue to work towards meaningful progress.

Our impact in action

• With the HVEG Brand Group, we donated 6,774 items with a market value of €211,512.58 in 2025.

• We have supported ANBI organisations, including Regenboog Groep, Room for Change, Stichting Steun Emma Kinderziekenhuis and LifeLine Ukraine.

• We have a long-term partnership as HVEG Brands Group with Trees for All, with an annual contribution of €15,000 (2024-2026).

In addition to financial and material donations, our team also contributes through volunteering and knowledge sharing. From donating clothes to planting trees and supporting local communities, we focus on practical, measurable impact.

We track our contributions annually and remain committed to transparency in both our efforts and our results.

For Good Policy

To better understand the environmental impact of our products, we conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs). These analyses provide insight into key impact areas such as CO₂ emissions, energy consumption, and water consumption throughout the entire product life cycle.

Currently, LCAs cover products that represent 50% of Bamboo Basics' total sales in 2024. This allows us to focus on the areas where we can have the greatest impact.

We use these insights to make better-informed material choices, improve processes, and gradually reduce our overall ecological footprint.

Life cycle assessments (LCAs)

All our suppliers have signed our updated Code of Conduct, committing to responsible and ethical practices.

Furthermore:

• Each supplier is BSCI certified, guaranteeing fair labor conditions.

• All suppliers have undergone a BEPI assessment, verifying their environmental and social performance.

By actively collaborating with our supply chain, we ensure that accountability and transparency are embedded not only in our products but in every step of the process.
